About

Mason. Raised in Lubbock, live in Austin. Married, one daughter, and I like to lift.

From Lubbock.

Flat, windy, a long way from anything. It's a good place to be from.

In Austin now.

Have been for years. It's home.

I played college football at Texas.

These days I'm a fan of the game more than any one team — I'd rather watch a good contest than wave a flag.

Husband and father to one daughter.

The most important job on this page, and the only one without a dashboard.

I like to lift.

And I want to be healthy. A lot of it is the effort itself — the exertion is part of the point. I'm not trying to optimize everything. If I get a little better every day, I'm on track. I'll tell you what's worked for me. I won't tell you what's best — I'm an n=1.

I don't take myself too seriously.

I built this whole site by hand partly to learn, partly because I think it's funny to have a colophon.
