About

Mason. Raised in Lubbock, live in Austin. Married, one daughter, and I like to lift.

From Lubbock.

Flat, windy, a long way from anything. It's a good place to be from.

In Austin now.

Have been for years. It's home.

I played college football at Texas.

These days I'm a fan of the game more than any one team — I'd rather watch a good contest than wave a flag.

Husband and father to one daughter.

The job that matters most, and the one I keep off this site.

I like to lift.

And I want to stay healthy doing it. I like the work itself — the effort is half the point, so I'm not trying to optimize every rep. If I'm a little better than I was last month, I'm on track. What works for me might not work for you; I'm one person, not a study.

I built this site myself.

Partly to learn, partly because I think it's funny for a personal site to have a colophon.
